Missing fur above eyes
So, not sure how to put this, but do you know how mice have those little "dot" kind of things right above their eyes? The fur is a little thinner on them, they remind me of mouse eyebrows. I feel like I'm doing a bad job explaining this... . Hopefully you you understand what I'm talking about. Anyways I went to check on my mouse last night and i noticed that one of the little spots above his eye was bloody. I checked the other side and it was bloody on the exact same spot on that side, too. I'll be treating for mites, just waiting for the medication to come in. But does anyone know why those exact spots above the eyes would be bleeding? No where else on his face or body are hurt, so i just confused me why he would be hurt in those specific spots.

I'm not sure, but maybe he just happened to be scratching one side of his face and then the other. Do you have any wood in his tank/cage? My mouse has an allergy to wood which made him scratch till one of his sides was almost bald, never bled though. I remove anything made out of wood and cleaned his tank and his hair started growing back. This was a long time ago. Now I only put things made out of ceramic and plastic in his tank. Just a thought. Hope he heals up quickly.

Yeah, I have no idea what it'd be. But as Rodents Rock said, I guess it might be allergies?

Re: Missing fur above eyes
I have one mouse in particular that always shows balding/scratching near her "eyebrows" if she is itchy for any reason. Its just the place she scratches the most! Maybe by habit? I do notice her grooming her face more often than scratching with her back legs, which my other girls do.
She has had this in response to mites, but also a food allergy (still not sure whether it was wheat content or too much protein that did it) when all my other girls showed scratching around their necks instead. Changed her food, and the eyebrow scratching went away! My vet did also prescribe antihistamines and antibiotics to prevent infection and keep her comfy while I found the cause, so worth considering if it is getting bad?
