Applying extra?
Now I wouldn't normally apply any extra but...
There is one spot Graham continues to scratch. Just one. No clue why. Her chin is clean, getting hair back, the other side is mostly healed with fur and a few small scabs...but that one spot has yet to react. Don't get me wrong, she plays more than she has in months but she still scratches that one spot like a madman sometimes.
So I applied her medicine [silvadine] per usual. She scratched it off within a half hour and was squeaking as she scratched so I kind of panicked and applied more. I was smart this time, though! I added new toys to distract her enough to let it work a bit more.
Was that a bad idea or is it safe? The recommended application was twice a day or 'when you can get it on' so a little extra one night doesn't seem to bad but...thought I'd check.

Re: Applying extra?
Thank goodness. I'm not against doing it again when necessary...really seemed to work. That wound has a light scab around the outer edges and looks less nasty tonight. Phew!
The one itty bitty bald spot she has right below the wound seems almost accidental, like she grazes it with her nails when she itches. Regardless that looks pretty good too. She always waits to fully recover! Her last medications didn't clear up her facial wound until the last 4-5 days of it.
The past two and a half weeks have been amazing though. Here's a comparision....
