We went to an oil party tonight. It was really interesting to hear about all those oils! We bought a starter kit thing, which come with a... Diffuser(?), a range of oils, a roller ball thingy, and a coupe other accessories. We already use peppermint oil for repelling spiders, and my mom does know a whole lot about them because she was a beauty therapist (esthetician). So we'll see how it works!!

Edit: I know this has been asked before, but I can't find it. Are essential oils safe to use around mice? There's an oil that in a study decreased the growth of tumors and cancer, and there's one that gets rid of odors, too. Both would be useful to mice...

Watching Ghostbusters with Yoshi tonight. Don't think either of us have seen it, but he's too busy hiding in my shirt to watch. Sigh

Also crocheting this thing. You're supposed to connect a few and make a sort of choker necklace thing. The hook is sooo teensy. Lots of fun! It'll be good with my Halloween costume. lol

Waiting for the Orkin guy to come to treat my back patios for ants. The cooler weather this past week (only in the 90s) and periodic drenchings with the hose may be lessening their numbers but I'd rather have a professional attack them with pet-safe stuff. My poor old almost-blind-almost-deaf-and-slightly-senile dog refused to go out her dog door to do her business because she'd come back in and spend the next hour or so licking her feet to ease the ant stings!

Today, I actually decided to start a website about rodents! Mainly mice and rats. I am trying to make a mouse care section and a rat care section, but I don't know a whole lot about caring for rats. Can anyone point me out to some good articles or books?
