Mouse and hamster in the same room?
I currently have a hamster, but I would like to add a single male mouse to the family! I was wondering if I could keep him in the same room as my hammy. I was originally thinking of putting him on a storage thing right beside the cage, but I decided that that would probably be too stressful for both of them. I was thinking of putting the mouse's cage on my dresses across the room. Will this be too stressful for both of them, or will it be okay?

That would be just fine. Just make sure to keep the mouse as far away as possible for the first four weeks, that way you are keeping any possible illnesses the mouse might have away from your hammy. After that, if he seems healthy, they can be closer together. My mice and my hamsters are all in the same room. One of my hamster enclosures is in between two mouse tanks, and I've seen no negative effects from it. They are different species, so smelling each other isn't a problem, since they'll likely just ignore each other's smell.
