It looks like I'm going to bring home my new foster mouse, Andy, tomorrow. The likelihood of anyone adopting him is pretty low. He's a PEW and there are like 10 PEW's up for adoption on Petfinder right now. That's okay... what's one more tank, right?

While I was typing this, my cat went up to the chinchilla cage and the chins didn't back down. They stood their ground and when she got to close, they bopped her in the nose! I don't think i'm going to need to worry about them. Looks like they can taker care of themselves just fine.

Splotchy is cute! I can't remember her real name. lol Edit: Ginger?

I have a video of my first mouse (in a pink Crittertrail cage, eek!) chewing on a cat's whiskers. The cat just put his face down further so his whiskers were hidden. lol Maya is adorable. Love

When I tried to ,get Maya out of the playground, she hissed at me. She thinks everything in this house belongs to her and does not like to share! So fussy, lol!`

Ginger was Splotchy's original name but did not match her personality. She's totally a Splotchy.

Splotchers is the best. Such a funny lady. She makes so many goofy faces. Not to mention, her resting face is pretty goofy, too. She's the best <3

Oh, and I'm going to get my little foster mouse today at 3:30! His name is Andy, we'll see if that's the right name for him.

Probably forever. I can't imagine there is a huge demand for pre-owned PEW's of unknown age. There are actually like 10 mice who look just like him available on Petfinder in my area right now. I don't mind at all. It's my husband who is concerned about our house smelling like a barnyard. But I pride myself on keeping a tidy home. The rescue lady said that she was impressed that my critter room didn't smell like animals, thank you very much!

Why am I not surprised to hear that another needy critter is moving in with you, scaredy? I'm amazed that animals just don't show up at your door, hearing about you on the beastie grapevine!

I just adore Splotchy and those pics of her with her paws out, head back and eyes partly closed look like she's saying "No more pictures, please!" She makes me want to head right out to PetSmart and grab a chubby Syrian doe!

You should see her waddle! Such a riot. I love letting her free range around the critter room. Syrians, especially Splotchers, waddle when they walk. Big, fat fuzzy potatoes that waddle around. LOL!

Gosh I just adore her.

Kitties are so silly thinking everything is theirs. I once bought a shelving unit to put in the dining room window for the succulents I managed not to kill but the cats quickly explained that it was made for them. Cat shelves it is.

Your hamster is adorable. Someday I want to get a Syrian. The only hamster I've had is a Chinese hamster. He was sooooo sweet. His name was Sweet Pea. I miss him.
