My new girls!
For anyone who was following my previous forum posts, we sadly didn't the shelter mice. My grandma got 3 little girls from a breeder. (sadly she didn't do very much research and so I was a little upset at first) Their names are Whitney, Freya, and Skye! These names may seem familiar to anyone who has played Animal Crossing, they are the names of three of my favorite wolf villagers! I am working with my grandma to get them better items, as she just got them on a whim, so don't be worried about the wire wheel in these photos because we will be changing that soon. The gray and white one is Skye, black and white one is Whitney, and brown and white one is Freya! I wanted creative and fun names so I chose these ones.
edit* I cant add pictures idk how

Re: My new girls!
Congrats on your new mice. What's done is done, so don't worry about the breeder thing Love the names by the way, I'm an Animal Crossing fan also
Did you try "host an image" instead of "insert image"? Worked for me.

They're lovely!
Don't worry about the wire wheel. It's a mesh wheel, so it's perfectly safe. It's the barred wheels that you have to worry about.

Okay, nice to know they are still safe. I am planning on getting them the flying saucer because they keep running on both sides of the wheel (inside and outside) which is concerning me, and also I know metal wheels can become noisy.

Re: My new girls!
Yeah, the mesh wheels are squeaky ones. Silent spinners and saucers are much quieter, I find.

Hello Gabbi!
Your girls look adorable, and I like your set-up! I gotta warn you though, the wheel is safe but it gets noisy. I had that exact one for a while and it could get so loud it would wake me up. Silent spinners are a good alternative, but I really love my saucer. Since it's so low to the ground, it can sit underneath some hanging decorations for extra space.
I'm also a pretty avid Animal Crossing player, so I love your choice in names

What beautiful girls! Love their names and adore the pic of them all in the food dish...reminds me of when my ladies were small enough to do that .

Re: My new girls!
Thanks you guys for all of the nice comments! I got quite a large order from Amazon that is going to their house as we speak. Has anyone ever used the Ovo Loft? We bought it as a cage to put them in for cleaning, and we were thinking about using it as an extension cage with tubes in the future. We also got them many more toys, chews, and hideaways. The food we are planning on giving them is the Vitakraft Vitasmart for rats, mice, and gerbils. Is that good one? I also got the flying saucer in the order as well!

Re: My new girls!
I don't really like the look of the ovo loft, to be honest. Just from what I can tell by looking at it, it looks like a pain to clean, and animals usually prefer cages with corners to round ones because it makes them feel more secure. It'll be hard to get larger MESs into it. BUT I typed all that up before reading that you're just gonna use it to hold them during tank cleanings, so I guess it doesn't matter! Honestly, I just put my girls on the bed when I'm cleaning. They never go anywhere, but I guess it's just because I know my girls very well that it's safe.

Re: My new girls!
Sounds great! Is there a post on here about what vegetables are safe for mice? My grandparents have been feeding them mostly lettuce and some carrots and cabbage.

Love their names! I have a Freya (dog) though I didn't make the Animal Crossing connection until now (I do enjoy playing though ). They're super cute too.
