5 Great Mouse Treats

Wondering what treats to pick? Looking for something not filled with sugar and fat? Here are 5 great treats for mice!
Pumpkin seeds
Some mice go crazy for pumpkin seeds! I know mine do!
How often should they be fed?: 2-3 seeds a day
Tip(s): Make sure the seeds are unsalted and unflavored.
Dried mealworms
Mealworms are a favorite for many mice, my mice love them!
How often should they be fed?: 1-3 worms a day
Tip(s): Live mealworms work too, but some mice prefer dried.
Plain popcorn
My girls love their popcorn!
How often should they be fed?: 1-2 pieces a day depending on how big the pieces are
Tip(s): Make sure the popcorn is plain, this means no added butters, flavorings, or seasonings.
Dried papaya
Dried papaya can be a great treat for some mice!
How often should they be fed?: 1-5 pieces a day depending on the size of the pieces
Tip(s): Some mice aren't very interested in papaya, some of my mice won't touch it, and some like it.
Oats
My mice love oats!
How often should they be fed?: About 1/4 of a teaspoon a day
Tip(s): No tips.

My girls love all of those too, except I haven't tried dried papaya. I should try it. I have pureed papaya in the freezer for the hermit crabs anyway. Personally I think it tastes like vomit but the crabs like it!

Yeah, it's really one of those treats that just depends on the mouse. Holly, Daisy, and Lilac I have never seen eat papaya. However, Clover, Scout, and Blossom have eaten papaya, Clover loves papaya.
