Well, this was unexpected!
Today we went to the pet store, and I looked at the mice. I saw a long haired boy mixed in with all the short haired ones and thought he was quite unique! My family said I could get him if I wanted to, and I said "Really?!?!, I'll think about it!". I almost didn't take him, as I really wasn't planning to get any more mice, 6 was kinda my limit . After checking out the other pets, I came back to the small animal section. Turns out, he was just meant to come home with me! I couldn't leave him there .
I asked to handle him and the guy said "Ok, but I just want to warn you, they are more likely to bite than rats, and can run really quick."
No name yet! He's so pretty, my dad said I should name him "Harry" lol. Still brainstorming a list of names
He's being shy so these are the best pictures I could get. I just threw a cage together real fast so he wouldn't have to stay in a cardboard carrier with no water for too long lol.

Aww! Few months back I saw two gorgeous little longhair boys at petco, I kinda regret not snatching them up!

Hairy Harry, lol. I'm personally not a fan of angoras, but congrats on your new mouse!

That is one handsome mouse! His coloring is so like my ham Imogene: that beautiful sable over white/cream. I can just picture you petting him with a teeny-weeny brush and comb !

I was able to have a little photo shoot with him right now! He's a little shy but he came out for pictures!

Oh my goodness he is PRECIOOUUUSSS. People who can handle big workloads are lucky because they get so many pets! I pretty much have to limit myself to either two 10gal tanks or one 20gal. u.u

Re: Well, this was unexpected!
Haha, it only takes me about an hour every weekend to manage the cages. I now have two 20 gallons and a ten gallon to clean! I actually enjoy cleaning them out and setting things up, though!CinnamonPearl wrote:Oh my goodness he is PRECIOOUUUSSS. People who can handle big workloads are lucky because they get so many pets! Great pics!
3 mouse tanks was about my limit, I found. At that point, to me anyway, weekly cleans started to feel more like a chore. With my other pet tanks, regular spot cleaning keeps things tidy for longer, so weekly full cleans aren't needed - thank goodness.

Re: Well, this was unexpected!
I know myself well enough to know I could not handle three. XD Two I can do for sure, but it gets tentative the larger they are. I never want tank cleaning to become a chore because I know it'll start to turn me off from actually doing it, so I just keep myself to 10gal and 10gal. Though I think I could do 10 and 15, but 10 and 20 becomes very iffy.

Re: Well, this was unexpected!
Any thoughts on names yet?
I love cleaning! My problems come with making time to handle everyone each day. Sometimes there's so much going on that it's daunting to even think about going anywhere near the cage. But they all get some sort of interaction, though the boys are easier than the girls.
