Hi!
I've been lurking on this site for a while because at the time I didn't have everything ready for a proper introduction yet but now I am! I'm a new mouse owner, and, while I do have quite a few other pets I have never owned rodents before.
Since I'm new to keeping rodents, I would definitely appreciate any and all advice! I've done my best to set my girls up based on the research that I have done and I am planning on adding more to their current setup, but I have included a photo of their tank so people can check that its okay for them. I'm currently feeding them Sun Seed Sunscription Vita Prima Parakeet and some Oxbow Regal Rat, and I plan on supplementing with fresh veggies a few times a week once they become more established in their enclosure.
(left to right) meet Macaron, Souffle, and Chiffon!
aaaand another photo of them (left to right) Chiffon, Souffle, and Macaron
and here is their current setup! they have kind of made a nest in the little strawberry house and they love to all huddle up in there, its super cute! And I know it looks a little empty on the top half but I am planning on getting some bird ladders and the like to hang from the screen so that they can climb more

Re: Hi!
Welcome! Aww, your girls are cute! Everything in their tank looks safe, but I suggest maybe adding some more things to make it more packed/crowded, it's just the way mice like it. You can make toys out of popsicle sticks and non toxic hot glue, hang hammocks and toys from the lid, add some boxes, etc. Also, I saw you said you are getting bird ladders, mice love those, so that's great! Your girls are adorable and once again, welcome to the forum!

Re: Hi!
Some mice will like more room to run, but most will like it crowded! Experiment. Its a cute set up! Maybe some hammocks?

Welcome! Your mice are beautiful! Your tank looks really nice. May I suggest hammocks and a wheel.

Thank you! I am looking into getting hammocks for them and that blue thing on the right is a flying saucer so they have a wheel and they definitely use it haha

Thank you everyone! I'm currently looking for hammocks to get for them and was wondering if any of you had suggestions about which one to get.

A silent spinner wheel is fun in addition to the flying saucer My Mickey loves his silent spinner wheel.

Re: Hi!
It's super easy to make your own hammocks. All you need is some fleece, zip ties, and some safety pins. I usually just cut a square of fleece (9x9 ish), fold it in half diagonally so that you have a triangle and pin it to the lid using the zip ties. Since it's double layered, they can also snuggle inside.

Okay, thanks! I'll probably get one, so far I've only seen one on the flying saucer at a time and most of the time it's Souffle hogging it haha
