No One Will Remember Me
I doubt anyone will recall my brief appearance on TFM several years ago. I landed there when I first decided I wanted mice, and it was an excellent resource. But I was only active for a few months, and sporadically at that. My three girls have of course long since passed on -- this was in 2009, I believe, or thereabouts -- as have the three that came after them. Five of the six died of tumors, and after that I just couldn't face the prospect of it happening again.
But, I find that I'm once again feeling the urge to have meecers in my life.
Funnily enough, I was *just* on TFM a few days ago, and didn't notice that it was shutting down, so imagine my surprise when I came back today to find it had disappeared! Good thing I was redirected here, or I don't know where I could have gone.
Anywhere, Here BeDragons I.
I use WrittenEmber pretty much everywhere I go online, and you can call me that or Ember. I'm an aspiring author living in the southwestern US -- Arizona, to be specific -- with my family, both human and otherwise.
I have no mice at the moment, but am slowly gearing up to acquire some. This may take a while; I usually have to percolate on such decisions before beginning actual preparations, and then I like to get all my ducks in a row (so to speak) before bringing any animals home.
I'll probably lurk a lot, chime in here and there, and mostly ask questions. Despite having had mice before, I'm no expert. So if I say something wrong, please do correct me. I never take offense at someone being willing to teach me things.

Hi there and welcome to the forum!
I've only been around TFM for about two years or so, so I'm pretty sure we didn't cross paths before. But nice to meet you! :3

Welcome glad you found your way over here!
I've had bad luck with tumors in mice too, it can be really heartbreaking. I've found that the pros of owning mice far outweigh the cons though. They're such entertaining little things, I couldn't be without them Hope you get new mice soon
