We were thinking about doing a Halloween Contest

Peachy and I were talking about doing contests for Halloween tank decoration and mouse picture (may use holiday props), that is if anyone is interested! Not only are contest fun for us but at the end of the day, the mice are the real winners. They get to enjoy the fun tanks we put together for them. So I challenge everyone to make this Halloween special for your mice. They only get 1 or 2 Halloweens in their life, let's make it special 
I did my tanks this year, here's one of them to give you guys some ideas. I make ghosts out of tissue and put treats inside. I make little bats out of toilet paper rolls and construction paper, also filled with treats. I make small bales of hay, shredded tissue paper, make construction paper cutouts and of course all the ceramic decorations. Fancy pants had so much fun exploring!

If only I had some Halloween props.... Christmas is my favorite holiday, so all of my holiday themed stuff is Christmas related... Maybe I can find something!

Check out thrift stores and dollar stores, AMO! They always have tons of stuff that could work for Halloween or Autumn themes. I got a bale of hay and some leaves for a couple bucks, but it made for great pictures! Halloween goblets make great food dishes, and scaredy had a few great and easy DIY ideas. I know of a few more, I'll link them in this thread.
I'll make an official contest thread in the contest section next weekend for everyone to post their pictures, and we'll give it a few weeks before we vote. It can be Halloween or just general "fall" season themed. Next weekend the forum's fall theme will make a comeback, too!

FYI, target has the best Halloween hideaways right now for just $3.00 if you can find them! They are in the front of the store in the discount (junk under $5.00) section. It's usually a mess up there but they're there. They were out the one I really wanted thought... it was a ghost

More Halloween pics to get everyone in the mood! I'm not entering contest, but you all better be ready for Christmas... I'll be ready to battle. I went kinda nuts this year with Halloween decorations with everyone. I love watching them be happy and they seem to really enjoy the fun stuff in the tank. So I'm hoping my tanks will inspire you guys to decorate your tanks and give your mice an exciting Halloween! I went with color themes this week

Scaredy, I love all your tanks, so much fun!!! I love Norman's tank the best as I love green, but they are all wonderful.

The best part is how much fun they have!
I'm not sure if this link will work... but here's a link to a video I posted on my Instagram of Aggie and Charlie collecting stuff for their nest... so cute. I spend a lot of time shredding tissue paper and punching out little construction paper hearts to decorate their tanks and it's just tickles me to see them enjoy it. I love watching them be happy.
