What is a good mouse mix diet?
What would be the best food to feed mice? I have heard you can feed parakeet food and I have heard that possibly the oxbow adult rat food is good, is that true? What would be the best diet for mice?

Vitakraft Vitasmart parakeet food is the most popular, and is suitable. Sunseed Vita Prima Parakeet is nice too. You could also feed Vitakraft Vita Prima Sunscription Dwarf Hamster Formula, I tried it recently just to see how my mice liked it since it was cheaper than the food I was buying, but I found that they went through it really fast and there was a lot of hay in it, which isn't a great ingredient. I usually use one of those two parakeet mixes, since they are similar in ingredients.
I wouldn't feed Oxbow, mice have failed to thrive and even died when fed only Oxbow as food.
There's a lot more about diet here: https://www.petmousefanciers.com/t15-mouse-diet

Definitely check out the link Anon shared.
Oxbow Essentials ADULT rat has good looking ingredients and could be used to supplement a good seed mix, but it is a bit high in protein and a touch low in fat. The Oxbow Essentials Young Rat and Mouse is junk.
