Mixing lab blocks and seed mixes.

Hi, I'm new to mice and will be adopting a male soon. My plan is to feed a lab block and a homemade seed mix. I currently feed my hamster a homemade seed mix and Envigo/Harlan Teklad 2018 (though after rereading the ingredients for it, I will probably switch foods once I run out). My question is, is it okay if the lab block has a higher protein content if I make my seed mix with a lower protein content? Or does a lower protein seed mix not negate a higher protein lab block? Also, would it be the worst thing if I fed him Harlan Teklad with my seed mix until I run out (assuming that the answer is yes, I can balance it with a lower protein seed mix)? Once I run out of Harlan Teklad, I plan to order Supreme Science.

Sorry for such a late reply but here you go!
It sounds okay to me but what I would recommend is to feed the lab blocks as his main diet and put in a little seed mix to add interest. There is quite a lot of fat in seeds so be careful to watch he doesn't become a bit porky!
