Hi guys Smile New to the crew here. I work in a school and today I found a very small mouse in my office - can't seem to track down the nest/mom.

I have the mouse in a small container and used thefunmouse.com to learn more about care/age/feeding/etc. Using a mix of kitten (KMR) formula and water, as well as soaked pellets for food. I think he is about 2 weeks old - eyes look like they have just opened recently.

I have had the mouse only for about 4 hours, and he/she seems to be getting better. My worry is that he/she seems to have a hard something (assuming poo) by his rear (seemingly still inside him). He will poop/pee a little if I press his tummy after eating. Is he/she constipated? Any advice?

Thanks all!

I have never attempted to look after an orphaned baby mouse before, but i understand they need your help to go to the bathroom. The fun mouse guide says you can try rubbing the belly gently with a q-tip until it goes potty, otherwise he/she will get backed up. Does it the rear blockage not move when you massage his tummy? You can try again later. I'm am unsure how to remedy constipation, but I'm sure others here know more about it.

Thank you both very much for your help! I have started reading the article, and it looks like it was just a bunch of poo stuck to his bottom. Looks better now!

I do have a second question... When I'm feeding him, he sometimes starts shaking. Any idea why? Is the formula to cold maybe? I don't think he shames any other time, but I'm not certain.

Thank you guys for being on and helping! I really do appreciate it, and so does the little mousey!

I think he is shaking because he himself is cold - as he is so young you need to keep him warm - esp when in the open like feeding time.

i know some people frown on these but i think the baby mouse videos are good...

dont know if im allowed to post links here but if not just take it out...
