Happy Mouse! (And Parent) Empty Happy Mouse! (And Parent)

**Squeals with delight**

So a while back I had a thread that was wondering if some mice just don't use their wheels because Colin wasn't using his. So I've been giving him a load of other toys - particularly things that move as he has always been wary of things moving (including my hand when he's on me). In this weeks cage clean, I decided to put his comfort wheel back in.

I've since discovered that he absolutely loves his wheel now! He runs on it for a while, then he'll jump off and spark all over the place before coming back and doing it all over again! So cute!! Just like he is after a run about the floor in his ball!

Ahhh, Colin makes me so happy when he does things like that! Love (Particularly when he sparks over new toys that I've made him Very Happy )

Yaaay Colin Very Happy that's great news! Good to know that he'll be getting lots of exercise! What a sweetie Very Happy

Maybe he'd even be up for trying a flying saucer wheel now Laughing

I'm going to be leaving him with this one for a while while he's worked out how to use it (or a very similar one that doesn't require the cage completely dismantled to spot clean it...bad design...) and then introduce the flying saucer in a couple of weeks time :-)

I'm glad he's discovered the wheel. Mice look like they have so much fun on wheels.

He certainly seems to be having a great time - last night was like he couldn't bear to leave it alone!
He'd run for bit, have a drink and then headninto his fleece house in his normal 'I'm going to sleep now' way, but then he'd get up a few minutes and repeat the process! It was so cute to watch! :-)

When I get older mice I can tell when they've never seen a flying saucer, they try to stand on top of it first and seem puzzled at being rotated back to ground level Rolling Eyes But it never takes long before they understand.

Nestmouse: that was Colin this evening! I put him in his play box while I cleaned out his home and included the flying saucer. He still doesn't understand that one, but he's continuing to use his comfort wheel! :-)
