How to treat mouse with mites!??

I am pretty sure that my almost 1yr old fancy mouse has mites. He has been itching and has a rash looking patch on his neck/back. I tried to do a lot of research but there was not a lot of info for mice with mites.

I got Ivermectin paste 1.87% apple flavored oral dewormer for horses. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/durvet-ivermectin-paste-187-608-g?cm_vc=-10005
I got it from a tractor supply store that is an hour away from me. But now Im seeing that people who have mice are using the pour-on cattle ivermectin https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/durvet-ivermectin-pour-on-250-ml?cm_vc=-10005

Should I drive back to the store to get the cattle ivermectin and put a diluted drop inbetween the mouses shoulder blades or can someone tell me how to safely use the horse dewormer because idk if I am supposed to do it topically or orally or how much to use or how to dilute it.

I would not use the oral paste. It’s extremely difficult to dose properly. The topical one is much much safer.
