Whitney the bully!
Any tips on how to get Whitney to stop being such a bully? I have finally visited them and they are living in my room now, and I have noticed that Whitney, who must be the dominant, has made Freya and Skye squeak and run away about 3 times today. I am scared for their health, especially skye who is very shy so when I try to intervene, she is very frightened by my movements. I am working on trust training and this definitely isn't helping. Any tips on how to discipline Whitney while not scaring her or the other girls?

Have you seen why they're chasing/squeaking? A treat, a toy, they're just in her way? lol Some of my girls squeak off and on... Usually if there's no blood or exclusion/no one is being kept from the nest, food, or water, it's not really anything to worry about.

I don't know what provokes it, I haven't been watching to see. I just hear and squeak and the mice start panicking and Whitney gets very angry, and chases. I haven't noticed any blood.

It sounds bad to us sometimes, but they are sisters. Sisters bicker over toys and treats and food. It's totally normal. If no one is bleeding and they seem to otherwise get along, there isn't anything to worry about.
There really isn't any way to know if Whitney is mad or the other one is panicking. You can only look at the behavior. Try not to interpret it with your feelings. I'm sure you've seen two young sisters fight over a doll before. It can get ugly! Screaming, crying, pouting, running away, they might even pull each others hair, and then later everything is fine. And they still love each other.
Mice are the same. It gets better as they get older. But they will chase and squeak. Even the best of friends.

Okay, thank you. Its just the noises they are making are quite alarming and I feel bad. I want to do some discipline but I guess not

Re: Whitney the bully!
I understand. But squeaking isn't necessarily bad. It's just mice talking really loud. I'm pretty sure my mice squeak when they are playing, too. I've seen two mice chase each other, squeaking up a storm. Then they stop and both spark. You may also hear then chirp/squeak during grooming. That means they are really enjoying it.
It helps me to think of it the other way around. For instance, maybe Whitney told Skye several times not to do something. And then Skye ignored her and did it anyway. So, naturally Whitney scolded her the way mice do by chasing her. Doesn't seem so aggressive anymore, does it?
