Should my girls poop be wet?
I have noticed that the poop is much messier than I thought it would be and seems a little sticky, or atleast not hard. I expected it to be like rabbit poo, hard and not very smelly. But its the opposite, its kinda gross, but they look just like shrunken human poop! The poop is getting everywhere in the cage even though I cleaned yesterday. Should their stool be so soft? Its not runny or diarrhea but I just wasn't expecting this consistency.

I guess I'll start by saying is not like rabbits. It should be formed, like pellets, but sometimes it can get a little soft. It can smell a bit, too. But it shouldn't be a strong smell, though. Just like us, it depends on their diet. If it's on the soft side, you can add a pinch of oats to their food too help firm it up.

Re: Should my girls poop be wet?
Diet determines their poo.
I always feel bad for the mice I see in pet shops because they are fed nothing but lab blocks. Therefore, they have soft poo that gets mushed all over the surfaces in their display tanks and smells AWFUL when the employees open the lid.
Mice bought from a shop will continue to have softer poos for a couple of months as their gut flora slowly changes under the influence of a varied diet. If it lasts longer than that, adding some probiotics can help. Benebac is sold in pet stores. Plain yoghurt or kefir can be offered in a small dish.

Yes. As long as it doesn't have sugar, sweetener, or a long list of additives.

Watch out for citric acid in yogurts or anything.
Lots of foods you wouldn't think have citric acid in them. No acid for mice.
