Thought I'd say hello

Hello, I have a cranky senior mouse named Ash, his hobbies include sleeping and biting me. On his good days he will let me hold and pet him but he hasn't been having many good days, he lives in a large cage which is like 608 sq inches and fed premium food, I don't know how old he is but I got him out of a feeder bin and he was already old, he has a hunch back and is missing patches of fur, but I love him. I was trying to decide. Whether to get a hamster or mice after he passes, but I realized I like mice more, and will get a trio of females in the future.

Welcome! Ash sounds like a character!
I quite like my hamster but if I had to choose I would definitely choose mice.

Good to hear that you love your grumpy old boy 
I've had hamsters, and whilst they're sweet and I like them, they're nowhere near as intelligent or entertaining as mice Mice are much better pets as far as I'm concerned.
