You can flip the silent spinner upside down and tie the base to the mesh aquarium top - holds it off the bedding and it can't rattle against anything. Works for mesh wheels too.

Someone thought of it for a gerbil at work (since they are notorious wheel-buriers). It worked great. For mice, with smaller wheels, you have to have a little platform or ladder nearby to help them reach.
