Eating Popsicle sticks/felt? Empty Eating Popsicle sticks/felt?

Not sure if they're 'eating' it, so to speak - probably just chewing. Sorry if this has already been asked, but, how do you know when to remove Popsicle stick houses / felt hammocks? Is chewing it safe? I worry about them getting splinters or ingesting the felt.

All safe. That's why we advise them Wink

They do like to chew wood and it's actually good for them to do so as it helps keep their teeth trim (their teeth are constantly growing).

I remove my MES's if they get smelly, or are so chewed up they're useless. Of course if you see anything that looks sharp it would be best to remove it, or sand that bit off or something.

I toss my MESs once they start to look very bad. Yellow with urine and stained with droppings. I used to throw them out after three one-week uses, but I'm currently bad at making enough, so I keep 'em around longer.
