faux fur safe for mice?
I want to use faux fur for my solitary male mouse to snuggle in, is it safe? Would there be risk for URI? What material of faux fur should I use?

I personally wouldn't--it likely wouldn't break down if ingested since it's made of plastic and may cause blockages. Toilet paper is 100x safer and just as soft.

I'm not sure why you'd want to add real fur to the cage? As I said, toilet paper is plenty warm enough. If you're this concerned about temperature I'd consider looking into a heat mat to place under half the cage. At least 6" of bedding is also great for thermoregulation.
I believe I've heard of people using real fur before but I don't think it's something I would go out of my way to get when there's so many more cheap and ethical options.
