Nesting material and just general advice welcome
I am a new mouse owner. my mice are in a 29 gallon tank with a mesh top and a fan that goes off every 2 hours for 30 minutes to help with air circulation. I replaced the ferplast cage because I found one of them chewing the bars. I have a total of four female mice. so far they've gotten along well, two sets of sisters. I got them the strawberry hammock thing from Petco and they ate the bottom out to make their little Nest. I was wondering what nesting material do you guys use. I know cotton is bad for them.do you guys buy the crinkled paper? does it matter if they use dyes? again any advice would be helpful

Hello!
Such sweet girls you have! Glad to hear they went to a great home.
I typically use non-toxic, hand shredded construction paper for nesting material. Paper towels, napkins, or toilet paper also work but I've found those tend to be a bit more dusty. Either way, no need to break the bank with crinkle paper.

I can't find nontoxic construction paper on amazon besides super expensive. I have this at the house would this work?

Honestly I would pay extra just to not have to hand shred. I am lazy

I suppose anything school-grade would work; I'd give it a shot!
I generally only shred half a sheet or so at a time, so it's not super time consuming, but totally feel your laziness haha.

@Tiffanieptrck1 For bedding all around, I use shredded (ie. me running it through a paper shredder myself) tissue paper, napkins/paper towel, and occasionally computer paper or cardboard, and I frequently use colored crinkle paper, which the mice love. I've never had any issues with dyes bothering the mice!
I think the construction paper you linked should be totally fine.

Okay so I'll use the construction paper I have. I've got an! idea I'll just make the nephews cut it up because it's "their Micies"
