New here - Hi!
Hi, I am new here. I want to learn about pet mice, I want some mice. (I think?) I am 41 and have had 3 hamsters over my life time but never a mouse.
What are the major trouble spots with mouse care?

Welcome to the forum!
I think one of their biggest flaws is how sickly they can be--they're super prone to URIs and tumors, so definitely be sure you have a good vet fund and a rodent-experienced vet nearby. Otherwise, I definitely prefer their personalities over hamsters--they tend to be a lot more social with humans, especially solo bucks.
I have a bit of a master list compiled here--some of the articles on here are a dash outdated.
Hope to see you around!

They're also quite a bit smellier than hamsters, especially the males. It's not a bad smell in my opinion, but it's very strong.
I also agree with Robin about their personalities being better, I'm not a huge fan of hamsters personally. In my experience, mice are less likely to bite and more likely to just hang out on your shoulder. (They're also quite a bit smarter than hamsters, which is a pro to me.)
