bald little man!
It seems like most of the people I knew on here have moved on, but I'm glad to see it's still active. I kept away from mice for a year or so after Graham passed, I was so worried a new mouse would have the same issues. But, yesterday I decided to go for it. I'd been considering it for a while and he was just adorable, so (admittedly a little impulsively, but I have all the supplies available), I brought home my first boy.
He doesn't have a name yet, too many bald men to consider. I'll probably get him an ASF female companion sometime in the future as I don't personally believe most males are happy alone. We'll see, though! Right now he's just too tiny and fragile. He's my first mouse from a breeder, and his temperament is great, though he's still very stressed out from all the new things.

Re: bald little man!
Fantastic boy, sounds like naming and bonding will be fun!
Bucks and pews are both favorites since my first mouse was both. Although not the best things to have in common, I have grieved similarly before and my current boy has a scratching issue; might hear about him but nothing until we get further veterinary advice.

Thanks! I am excited to find a name for him. Lots of amusing options. Mr. Clean made me laugh for a long time. Caillou, Professor X, and Caliban are also on the list. Lots of bald friends to choose from! He's getting more comfortable, so I hope I can start bonding soon.
PEW's have a special place in my heart, I feel you. I hope your boy recovers quickly. Scratching problems are a lot to go through for the both of you.

Re: bald little man!
I started working with him recently, he is such a sweetheart. He has such a serious personality. He feels like a little businessman. I don't know, lol.
He's also a little talkative, not much, but similar to how Graham was if anyone here remembers that. He's getting more comfortable every day, I'll see about taking some pictures tomorrow.

Hey! Been a while.
He's so cute! Hairless mice are so polite looking. Is it just me, or do their ears seem giant? I swear this dude could pick up free cable.
What's your boy's name?

Re: bald little man!
Oh my gosh, he’s amazing! And I’m glad to see you around again! I don’t have hairless, but before COVID I was in Nashville and scored some fuzzy extreme blacks. They’ve had a couple litters so far and the fuzzy babies are hilarious looking. Yay for exciting new mice, guys!

@Peachy
Thank you! I'm glad to be back.
They sound adorable! Did you post pictures yet? I'd love to see them. Fuzzy mice are so soft. <3
This guy's breeder is based in Texas but was here for a while and I thought he had the cutest mice, so I went for it while I had the chance. I'm enjoying my first male mouse, though I will say they smell about twice as bad as the girls did. Which is impressive, really.

Re: bald little man!
@River Thank you!
That's Pronto! He's named after a character from a lesser known cartoon that I'm a fan of, he's a mole person and it seemed fitting for a little naked mousie. Their ears are HUGE, I don't know if they're actually bigger or just look it because of the lack of fur, but they definitely look bigger. It's one of the things I love about them.
@Peachy I must have pictures of the extreme black fuzzies! I bet they're absolutely adorable.
