A few new mouse things (pic heavy)
Well I've bought lots of things for my girlies lately. And thought I'd share with you guys a few of the cool things I got.
First up is this little floral hanging basket. My girls LOVE this - since I put it in their cage, they're always climbing on it and rustling about between the flowers. They've pulled out one of the flowers and have taken it to their nest I've also been putting mealworms in the "soil" so they can feel like they're foraging in the garden They really love it and it only cost £2.99 so I'm happy I bought it.
Next is a little wooden suspension bridge. Honey in particular loves this and is always climbing about on it. I forgot to take a picture before I put it in their cage, so sorry that the picture is a little unclear. You can see Honey sneaking about in the background
They also got a new little corner shelf, which was really cheap on Viovet
This corrugated cardboard tube is great for ripping up. Simple but effective.
Got this one a while ago (as you can see by the chew marks) but it's been a big hit so thought I'd share. They love going through all the holes. It has hinges so you can also close it up to use as a cube shaped thing.
I'd never usually spend much on a mouse house, but I couldn't resist this house, despite it being expensive. It looks like a hobbit house!
I saved the best for last. How cool is this?! A little cardboard fort maze thingie (also from Viovet). The mice haven't seen it yet as it just arrived today, but they can play with it later. I think I'll put different treats in some of the compartments for them to find
Hope you enjoyed seeing the new things. So much cool stuff I just wanted to share

I really have to look viovet some more! I've heard great about them.
Those flowers look adorable! Where'd you get those at?

Nice. That cheese is in my order too. Did the hobbit hole come from viovet too? I must have missed it.

Great stuff! I love the house and the maze. And the cheese is neat!
Those flowers are a super cute idea, too... I wonder if I can make my own.

What a fun-filled cage your ladies have to enjoy! I love that castle-maze and the idea of putting treats here and there for them to find -- keep us posted as to how that works out.

The flower basket I got on amazon, it was in the rosewood boredom breakers range. Probably sold elsewhere though.
CallaLily - the hobbity house was actually an eBay pruchase. It was a Hagen Living World brand one. Had been eyeing it up for ages.
Will try and get some pictures of the girls in the maze later

Oh my goodness, the hobbit house! I bet they have a ball with that cheese too. It looks so fun to dart through! I think you have cooler toys in the UK than are readily available here. I've been eyeing that suspension bridge on amazon though.

Re: A few new mouse things (pic heavy)
So we tried the maze last night and I think they really loved it I guess if you think about how mice feel safest in corners or by a wall - well the maze is nothing but corners and walls, so it's kinda perfect for mice!
I put their familiar egg carton in (with mouse-made holes on each end) as a familiar place to hide, then put in toys or treats in the compartments. Please excuse the poor picture quality, I just took these on my phone.
So, this is how I set it up. There's 3 places to find treats, toys and a flying saucer in the middle (which they've not seen in about a week).
At first they just found the flying saucer and ran on that for a while
Then it was time to explore...
There were things to discover...
And treats to be found.
One clever lady worked out a way to escape. But decided to go back in anyway.
I also tried it with Archie, but he wasn't so sure (he just hid away or climbed onto my hand whenever I tried to stroke him)
All in all it was a lot of fun for the mice and I'd recommend it if anyone's making a Viovet order. I might try leaving out a couple of walls next time, so that there's 3 long sections (if that makes sense) just to mix it up a bit.

Re: A few new mouse things (pic heavy)
That maze is so much larger than I pictured -- had no idea it would be big enough to hold a saucer in one of the compartments! Looks like the girls had a great time working their way through it.
Sweet pic of Archie hiding. Could he possibly have smelled that the mice has been there? WOuld that throw him off? I've never had a hamster so don't know if they're as big into exploring as mice are but maybe he'll warm up to the maze in time.

Archie actually went in first so couldn't have smelled the mice
The flying saucer was a squeeze but we made it work

Awesome!!! I love that maze thingy! Your girls are really beautiful, too.
I love that cage. What is it? I know it's probably only available in England, but I'm curious anyway lol.
like seriously I can see myself making a trip to England just for mouse supplies one day
