What should I do? Please help!

I got a new mouse, King, from Petco about two weeks ago and was told he was a male (all has been going well). However, from the position i saw him laying in I realized he had nipples so I looked it up and apparently he's a girl! (I'm still going to call him "he" though because I want to) However I am now very worried because the reason I wanted a male mouse was so he could live alone. I know females tend to get depressed and lonely when they are kept alone. Will King be okay as long as a play with him regularily, do I need to get him another female companion asap, or should I wait to see if he shows any signs of depression? Please help!

Since it seems like King is female (definitely double and triple check, don't want any accidents), you should definitely get him some friends BEFORE he shows any signs of depression (ideally 2 more so they're a group of 3). Unfortunately, us socialising with them is no replacement for their own mouse-friends.
If you truly do not want more mice it would be best you rehome King or return him to the store you bought him from.
