Avatars encroaching on posts

On my computer, some avatars are encroaching onto members' posts and blocking out the left side of whatever they type. It's the rectangular pictures that are more horizontal than they are vertical.
Is anyone else seeing this, or is it just me?

I've noticed this too but thought it was my browser being odd!

How strange. Everything's fine for me. What browser are you guys using? I'm on Google Chrome.

I've noticed it on my phone too.
@MouseLover, your avatar is one of them that does this for my screen.
Edit: I checked on Google Chrome too. Same, unless I use the mobile site (I prefer not to).

I thought this was a mobile thing since it only happens to me there. I'll try to figure it out.

The only fix I could think of stretched all the avatars to the same width, so I switched to a different default theme. It's fixed on my phone, does it show better for everyone else?

The avatars on the right does stop the larger ones from cutting off posts for me.

What about on left? It worked on the right before I changed the template too, the avatars just went off the page instead of over text.

I do really like the new layout! Though I haven't been having this problem, so I can't say if it helped. It looks quite fine, I must say.

Thanks, but I'm still seeing it. Three avatars that I specifically noticed are Mouse Lover, Aeviternal and Norman's Mom.
I'm using an old desktop with Firefox.

Interesting! Now they are all square, none are rectangular. They look good for me.
Of course, if it was fixed for everyone else the last time and only my devices had an issue, I'm okay with that if it works better for the team.

I just read the new rules. One of them mentions that avatars are allowed to be rectangular. That might have been the problem.
On the few other forums that I recall the details of, avatars were a maximum of 100 by 100 pixels- They could be made slightly rectangular if one side was less than 100, but were so tiny that leaving more than a few pixels unused made the photo too small to see.

The only other forum I paid attention to didn't have avatar restrictions until a few years in... There were a few large ones, but they made the space for posts narrower instead of covering anything.
Maybe smaller screens mess things up? On my phone, the rectangle avatars get cut off at the white part of the page, but the mouse and cheese pictures on the front page go over the topics and posts columns too.
