Meet Monster!

I had my first taming session with my new boy Monster today. He's called Monster because he's just so big! And great news: he's not shy at all! He was running around, having a blast. He wasn't hand shy at all, and he even sat in my hand and washed his face. So friendly! However, I now get why the pet store employees said he was bitey. He's DEFINITELY bitey. He's not a fear biter and he's not aggressive; he just has a bad habit and doesn't know any better. But by god is he bitey. Blowing on him knocks him off, but he just can't help himself! We'll fix that right up though. ^.^

What do you guys think? Recessive yellow? Or does he look a little brindle?

Aww! He's so cute! And look at that fur, it's so long! I don't really see any other colors mixed in there, and I think brindles are colorful like my clover:

He's adorable! Cute name too. My guess is also yellow, but I had a couple brindle girls who lost their stripes and just appeared regular yellow as they got older, so I wouldn't rule it out. He doesn't look as large as some of my brindles have gotten, you'll have to watch for him to get even bigger!! lol

I hope the biting doesn't hurt you too much! You've probably done this guy a big favour - I think lots of people would have been put off of buying a mouse that was bitey. He certainly seems worth it though Smile

It's pretty painful, I'll admit! He broke through my skin after biting the same spot about seven times, but not enough for me to bleed. But he's DEFINITELY worth it. He's so friendly and brave and outgoing. Not shy at all! I can't even call today a taming session; he's already tame! Hell, he's tamer than Henry. But now he's out on the sofa and is refusing to come on my hand so I can put him back in his tank. >.<

Ooh, the ones that don't need a lot of work are always so much fun!! He sounds great.
I'm glad he doesn't bite too hard... Yoshi recently started biting again, but thankfully he hasn't drawn any blood like he did the last time he went through a biting phase. lol Hopefully Monster will learn better quickly!
