I'm 50/50 on this one. It COULD be normal for this individual mouse or it COULD be the start of an illness. He looks healthy, but doing the quick 'wiping his nose' motion at least twice in the first clip is a bit worrying.

Assume that all pet shop mice have parasites. A small bottle of Durvet cattle-pour on Ivermectin can be ordered from Amazon for about $20 total including delivery. It lasts for decades.

that is a good tip. he was living in the back of the pet shop for 3 months (after being surrendered at only 1 month old) so it's very possible he's got something caught from another animal. he does seem to itch his ears, wash his face, and wash his genitals a lot. especially in comparison to the other one, who i hardly ever see do this.

well, they are going to be seen tomorrow. today i noticed that Karamakete suddenly has a bright red spot on his back. so I am pretty worried about them. I'm anxious that the long car ride and the stress of being handled is going to set us back so far in our relationship building, but, such is life.
