Howdy from Washington State
Hello everyone,
I recently came across this discussion board and decided to join up. I have 4 does, Winnie, Ori, Li'l Bean, and Charlotte. Winnie is an approximately 1 year old black doe, Ori is an approximately 11 month old agouti doe, Charlotte is an 7 month old satin yellow doe, Li'l Bean is a 4 month old black fox doe. I wasn't planning on getting mice but my mum got three and Winnie did not get along with the other two so I got her. I then did some research on whether I should attempt to get her a friend. After looking into it for a while I decided to get Ori and the rest is history. Winnie I think was just WAY too energetic for the other two at my mum's house. A couple months ago I decided I wanted to get two more mice since I had the space. All four are now living contentedly in a 110 qt bin cage.
I looked into forums because it is frustrating trying to find reliable information for pet mouse keeping in the US since most people tend to think you are weird when you are a 29 year old graduate student with these little pet rodents. I look forward to getting to know you all and to reading all the posts. Though I am not sure how active I will be in posting I still enjoy reading through everything.
Cheers!

Li'l Bean is the most spunky little thing. She is always sparking all over the cage. Ori is probably the gentlest of the four. Charlotte is incredibly shy and sensitive. Winnie is saucy! When she was in a smaller bin she was always trying to escape but being the big cage has been really good for her. I never thought I could love these little creatures as much I do. They help me relax during all my studying and are right by my computer so I can always watch them get up their antics.

Wow, they are all so pretty! Charlotte's coat is absolutely gorgeous! Lil' beans's ears are very cute. Winnie and Ori also look like little charmers

How beautiful are they? Glad you decided to take your first girl in. Correct me if I'm wrong but is the shininess in Charlotte's coat called satin? Furthest away from a normal coated mouse is a really fluffy one I saw at Petco the other day. I would've (or still could If I go back) called him flu-fy du-fy! If I had a mouse like Charlotte she would be nicknamed shiny-winey!

to you and your four lovely ladies. I'm a fool for agouti mice so Ori's little face has me hooked!
