Happy 31 month birthday Furgie!

Sweet little Furgie. I'm surprised that she didn't follow Gilly over the rainbow bridge right away. It's a testament to how strong my colony is and how much they love each other. Anyway, I saw Furgie run on the wheel today... not too far and not too long... but she did it. I mean, she's like 120 years old in mouse years! Who knows how long she'll stick around but I'm sure grateful for all the time we have had so far. She has become quite the snuggler in her old age. She loves to crawl down my shirt, she appreciates when I toss in a rice krispy or two. She comes out when she needs to poop/pee and then goes right back in. Silly mouse.

She's as sweet as they come. It's hard to watch her either away though. I am starting to be able to see the bones in her tail 
but she doesn't appear to have any pain and still runs on the wheel everyday.
When I got her, normans mom estimated her at 3-4 months old (next to the quarter), so I subtracted 3 months from my gotcha date and went with that.
It's funny, sometimes I watch her doing her mouse business and think she's going to live forever. But other times, I'm sure that I will find that she's gone in the morning. We enjoy our time together every day. My sweet girl has been blessed with a long, happy life surrounded by sisters who love her. She was never sick a day in her life. I'm rambling. Anyway, furgie's the best!
