Woodstove pellets? Empty Woodstove pellets?

Post by olimarthemouse Sun 27 Nov 2016, 3:08 pm

Just wondering if these would be ok to put on the bottom of the cage, and then put Carefresh on top? I thought I'd ask since I know mice can be allergic to wood bedding...

Woodstove pellets? Empty Re: Woodstove pellets?

It all depends on the type of wood it's made of. Aspen is safe, but mice can be allergic to it. Pine can be harmful, so no pine. Cedar is extremely dangerous, so if it has cedar it's a big no-no. If the bag doesn't say, to be honest, I wouldn't risk it.
