Tank or Cage? Empty Tank or Cage?

Hey y’all! I’m just curious which is better for mice; tanks or cages? I currently have them in a 20 gal tank, however, when I took them to the vet (just for a check up) the vet told me that tanks aren’t really ideal because of poor ventilation and cages would be best. I know that a lot of people use tanks and bin cages so I’m just curious as to what the community thinks. If you think cages are better than tanks or vice versa?

I think both are suitable. I personally had my mice in a bin cage, as they are usually cheaper and more spacious.
