Getting multiple mice at once
If I end up buying a trio from a pet store, and they are all from the same tank, they probably have already gotten over their squabbling and I can put them all in the same tank once I have them home, right? They obviously already share the same germs, so I don't see a reason to quarantine. I've just never gotten multiple mice at once before, so I could use some advice/tips. Thanks!

If you're getting them all at once from the same place, keep them together. Just practice quarantine between them and your other mice.

Right, ok. So I would just put them all right in the tank together and let them be? They aren't going to be introduced to any of my other girls, meaning I will have two different colonies in different tanks, so that would mean no quarantine is needed at all then. I would just need to keep their tank a reasonable distance away from my other mice until 4 weeks is up, right?

Yes, they can stay together if you got them same time, same place. But it's best to keep them as far away from your other mice as possible. Wash your hands between cages and don't share toys between them. For at least 3 weeks. There's more here: http://www.petmousefanciers.com/t7-quarantine

Yep, as Calla said. It's such a treat to get a trio of mice at the same time! You just plop them on their tank and the are happy! My new girls happily run on the wheel together, share food, sleep in a cute cuddle pile! They came from the feeder tank with 20 other girls, so they are probably so happy to just have each other. Of course, is possible that they don't get along, just because they are already together, but they are probably fine.
Anyway, just keep them away from your other mice to avoid any airborne URIs and make sure to do a pregnancy calender, just in case. And verify their sex right away!
