Keeping males in the same room?

This is going to need some explaining. I was planning on getting a female trio, but when I walked in and asked for mice out of the feeder bin I ended up walking out with three males. You see, I suffer from some pretty severe social anxiety and I bought my mice alone. My family waited in the car. It took about 20 minutes of rehearsing my lines to even ask for the mice, and my father is close friends with the owner of this shop. I see him at least once a week.
"Excuse me? Do you have any live mice left?" Wait for a yes. "May I have three of those, please?"
So when I noticed their...parts...when the clerk handed them to me I was too scared to ask if I could look in the bin or if they had any females or that I didn't need males. I just accepted the boys, paid, and brought them home to separate them. Oliver, Isaac, and Sebastian. Sadly Sebastian passed away of unknown causes, but I still have two males, in separate tanks, living in my bedroom. Would they be able to smell each other? Will this stress them out, and is there any special precautions I need to take with my two boys? XS

Aw, I'm sorry that getting mice was so hard for you. I think they will be fine in the same room together, especially since they were already living together. I have 5 boys living in my critter room (separately, of course) and they don't show any signs of distress. Their tank is their territory, so as long they have that, they are happy. Just wash your hands before handling them so you don't smell like the other one. If they show signs of aggression, try keeping them in opposite sides of the room. Of course, it depends on the mouse but I don't think you'll have any problems. If any questions come up, feel free to ask!
Boys make wonderful pets. They might smell a wee bit more, they might mark you a little bit when you hold them, but they are worth it. I hope you enjoy your little fellas. Maybe these boys were supposed to be in your life!
