Bottle holder?
Where can I get a nice, ceramic, long lasting bottle holder? Since I have a really tall tank that I want to move the trio to, I need a bottle holder that sits inside of the cage, rather than hanging, because there's no way a regular hanging bottle holder would reach even anywhere close to the ground in that tank. It's 24 inches tall! I have seen some nice ones, but I couldn't find any on PetCo's website, I'm about to check Ebay, if I find anything good I will let you all know. It would have to be for an 8oz bottle. These girls are major chewers, so it needs to be ceramic or it isn't going to last.

The brand Alfie makes a ceramic water bottle holder, but it's more than you're looking to spend. There's a few knock off versions of the same design for cheaper, but they're all plastic I think.
I know there's a wooden bottle stand out there, but its looking like it's not available in the U.S. I'll keep looking. Might have to make diy bottle stand?

You might try rigging something to make the water bottle hang lower in the tank. Or you could make a little platform so they can reach the water bottle.

Re: Bottle holder?
Thank you! I mean, I have the money to spend on it, I just don't really think it's worth it honestly, I would rather make something myself than spend that much on a store bought one. I know some people make them out of popsicle sticks, but these girls seem to think popsicle sticks are the best chews in the whole world, so I'm not sure how long it'd last. Needless to say, MESs don't last very long with them, lol. I found some on Ebay that look just like the one you linked to, except plastic unfortunately. I don't know, do you think the plastic ones would last? I'm not sure how well made the plastic ones are... Thanks again!CallaLily wrote:The brand Alfie makes a ceramic water bottle holder, but it's more than you're looking to spend. Thank you for your suggestion, but it would have to be a nearly two foot tall platform. I'm not sure how easy that would be, lol. This is a pretty tall tank.

I can't believe I forgot! I saved this idea of @Peachy's to use a puzzle playground as a holder.
Edit : I think you have one? If not, sorry.

Re: Bottle holder?
I was just about to bring that up! lol It doubled as a plaything/hide and worked really well when my girls were in their tall 20 gallon. They LOVED it.
I had luck with some other ideas, too. For a long time a 29 gallon was my main tank so I had to get creative. I'll see if I can find more pictures.

Re: Bottle holder?
I just had another thought, you could use sticky Velcro to hold a water bottle holder on the side of the tank, whatever height you would want.

Re: Bottle holder?
When I read this thread this morning my first thought was one of those adhesive water bottles, but Velcro would work too! (Oh my gosh, on this computer the k and l buttons don't work! Grr.)
I like to move my bottles around (I'm free sprited like that! ) so this was another idea I had. It actually worked really well! I used a ramen noodle box to hang it off of, but any moderately thick one would be good.

Re: Bottle holder?
I have four sets of Puzzle Playgrounds, haha! I love those things. However, I think the water bottle pictured there is bigger than mine, I can't see a Puzzle Playground holding my bottle.CallaLily wrote:I can't believe I forgot! I saved this idea of @Peachy's to use a puzzle playground as a holder.

Thank you! I will have to see if there is anything I can do with velcro, but I too like moving bottles to different places, so I'm not sure how well it would work for me. I may try to make a holder from popsicle sticks, I'll let you know if that fails or not lol.Peachy wrote:When I read this thread this morning my first thought was one of those adhesive water bottles, but Velcro would work too! Re: Bottle holder?
I've made popsicle ones too. Two different kinds, but the one without the tp tube support thing actually seemed to last longer... more non-essential sticks to pick on I suppose! I hope they'll work for you. Share pictures.
