Pumpkin Empty Pumpkin

Post by stephlisa Wed 31 Jan 2018, 5:09 am

I never expected to be writing this so early in his life.  My poor young Pumpkin hadn't even made his 6 month birthday.  He was such a handsome mouse to look at even though he took a long time to warm up to me.  He was a real mummy's boy in the end.  He came to love my attention even if he didn't like coming out of his cage.  He'd been suffering from seizures and we had been working with the vets to find the cause and help him get better, but unfortunately, he just didn't make it.  He'd been improving over his last week that his final, sudden and violent seizure was a shock.  I was preparing to rush him straight to the vets when I knew he was going to be safe but it was suddenly all over.  Its left such a hole in my heart.  He was my baby and it hurts so much when they're taken like that.

I'm so sorry. It's always hard losing a pet, but especially hard when they leave us way too soon. He was a cutie. hugs

So sorry for your lost. You took such great care of him, and he had a better life with you than he would have anywhere else.

Thanks Rodents Rock.
Basil is doing well. He seemed a bit upset when I cleaned the cage out and the strongest part of Pumpkins smell was cleaned away, but he is loving life. He's loving all the one on one time he now gets too!
