Difference between healthy seeds and junky seeds? Empty Difference between healthy seeds and junky seeds?

I was wondering what are some fatty seeds and what are some seeds I can incorporate into my mice diet? I don’t want to put treats as their food, and don’t want to put healthy seeds at treats.

Sunflower, hemp, flax, safflower, pumpkin, chia are some that are on the fatty side. You’re right that these should be limited but small amounts daily (alongside a good staple mix) shouldn’t be a problem for most healthy mice.

Some less fatty seeds/grains are things like oat, rye, buckwheat, wheat, millet...

I hope this helps some. I think there’s a list of treat ideas in the stickied Mouse Diet thread.
