This place makes me miss my hens

When I was a stay at home mom We started our own little chicken production, We had easter eggers, we had a meat chicken that turned out to be a white laying hen (Lucy) we had silkies and we had welsummers which were my favourite. We had a few good brood hens that were great momas and we had an incubator to satiate our brood wana-be. I spent countless hours on a discussion forums just like this designing our chicken coop and studying ventilation, It was a very happening spot.
When we started we had no idea what we were doing but thanks to a community like this we had any information we needed at our disposal.
I am divorced now and live in the city so chickens are no longer an option. I just want to share with you guys how happy I am to be a part of this Love

Awww, you are sweet! I love this community too. So many nice and helpful people here. My mouse, Mickey, recently passed, he was a little over 2 years old. Even though I don't have a mouse anymore, I still enjoy hanging out here. Very Happy

Sorry you're not in a position to have chickens anymore. I've never had them, but I would if I had a house, but I'm in an apartment. Do you have any photos of the chickens you had and the chicken coop? Would love to see.

I currently have a dog, she is a Puggle. She is my love! Her name is Myda.
I also have two hamsters who make me smile everyday with their cuteness. A Winter White hamster named Cam and a Black Bear Syrian hamster named Bear.

After awhile we had an infestation with slugs so we decided to free range the hens. it was actually pretty awesome. they are all the bugs and fertilized the lawn.
