The girls

I decided to try making my own Carefresh sort of bedding with a tutorial I found on a hamster forum. I used to cut newspaper into tiny strips with scissors, it took forever. Then I got a paper shredder. This stuff takes even more time than hand shredding! But it's pretty cool, but I could just buy some. 
Evan's used to coming home to catch me in the middle of some silliness, so I LOL'd when he walked past me blow drying this in the bathroom and backed up to do a double take.
Him: What are you doing?
Me: You soak a bunch of paper, roll it in a ball, wait for it to dry, and then you have mouse bedding!
Him: It looks like poop.
Well, anyway. I found batteries for my camera and got some cute pictures of my girls.
I love this one... Sunshine, HoneyBee, and Willow. Think they're related or something?
Pearl was trying to talk Sunshine into giving up the last Cheerio. lol
These two are the sweetest.
Willow likes to... lick glass?
Willow and Pearl.
And last is HoneyBee and Pearl. The coloring is weird but I love this one anyway.

Haha that's really cool! Your mice are so adorable I love Pearl & Sunshine... And Honeybee is super adorable, but I have a thing for black mice

Now, where a man sees "poop", I see dried tobacco leaves! I like the idea, though, and will give it a try. Cordelia has been living on shredded newspaper for a few weeks (too many medical expenses this month so not much $$ left over for luxuries like Clean and Cozy or Greenies for my dog).
All the girls are adorable but I'm partial to Willow as I also had a brindle named Willow

Sunshine and Willow were the only girls in their litter, they could've been twins. Sunshine isn't showing much of her brindle anymore, but they looked more alike when they were younger. 
The paper balls are still drying. Guess they should be started a few days before you need the bedding. lol
Becky and Lulie. My niece likes to help, she just stands in front of you and says "I help" over and over and over, so we painted the MES. lol I wanted to try it anyway, but maybe soaking the sticks would work better.

At the glass licking. Sometimes you just gotta wonder what they're thinking. I like the name Lulie. Is it pronounced like it's spelled, rhymes with Julie? They're all so cute.

I've seen Furg lick the glass before. Soooo cute. The hams do it too, with their big ol tongues. I love your mice. We've known them since before they were born!

Willow is the only one who likes to lick the glass. It's strange, but cute to watch. There are some funny pictures of hamsters licking stuff! I accidentally found a bunch when I was trying to figure out why. lol
I say Lulie like Julie. I think it said it was a variation of Louise. Love that name, too.

Thank you. I decided it was a little too early to get so emotional. 
I made yarn with a scrap of fleece and meant to crochet a mushroom. It turned out kinda funny, but the girls love it anyway. lol

The girls seemed to like it. It looked nice, but it wasn't the softest so I mixed it with shredded paper towels. I thought about trying again with shredded paper instead of ripped up paper bags, but I don't know if it's worth it. lol
