Cataract? Or abscess?

Hi, Fig is about a year old and her eye is becoming gray. One side of her face near the eye is a bit puffy? It's only one eye. Do you think she was picking at it because she can't see very well? Not sure what is happening, please help.

A trip to the veterinarian is in order. The eye definitely looks irritated and bulging. The other eye looks pretty normal from what I can see.

I agree. It does look as if the affected eye area is swollen, which means there could be some painful pressure in there, not to mention discomfort from whatever is causing it. The veterinarian may prescribe some antibiotic treatment, but you should be prepared that the solution may be to remove the eye. If so, and if the removal takes care of any underlying problem, then it will probably be more traumatic for you -- Fig will likely get along just fine with one eye.
