pecans? Empty pecans?

Post by mickiemouse12 Fri 16 Nov 2018, 10:40 am

so I read that a lot of mice forums say walnuts are poisonous to mice or at least unhealthy. I have a bag of organic walnuts that I like to munch on, and was wondering if my mice can join in on the treat ???? any other nuts or food I should watch out for?

English walnuts are perfectly safe and there are even some studies that suggest they may reduce tumors. Pecans, pistachios, sweet almonds, hazelnuts, and peanuts are safe too. Though some will warn against almonds just like some warn against walnuts but from everything I’ve read and understand it’s one of those often repeated things that just aren’t true. Peanuts are said to be a common allergen, so do watch out for that. Of course I wouldn’t go overboard feeding any of them, but as a treat they’re good and often very much enjoyed by most mice.
