ARE MY MICE FIGHTING OR PLAYING???
Hi, I have 3 female mice in what I believe is a 525 sq. in. bin cage (3 wheels, 1 bowl, 1 water bottle, 2 houses). Two mice are small and the same size and one is noticeably bigger. I've noticed some chasing going on between the bigger one and either one of the smaller ones. Basically, there is usually two loud squeaks (from each mouse involved) and then some frantic running around the cage... then I'm pretty sure it's over. This happens mostly at night and (when I'm awake at least) 2-3 times. Should I be concerned that I have a bully? Or is it just mice being mice??

Chasing and squeaking can be pretty normal. Especially if this group hasn’t been together long. But even with mice that are bonded well, there’s going to be little disagreements sometimes. There shouldn’t be any reason to worry unless someone’s being kept from eating or drinking enough or if blood has been drawn.
