Homemade mouse diet Empty Homemade mouse diet

Post by gee Wed 06 Nov 2019, 7:03 am

I've been researching homemade mouse diets and found a recipe that is affordable and very accessible to me. I was wondering if anyone else feeds their mice a homemade mix? And if it's not advisable or unsafe, why?

Here are the ingredients:
— 2 cups budgie seed mix
— 2 cups oats
— 1 cup cat or dog food
— 1/4 cup of others such as pasta, nuts, pumpkin seeds, cereals, etc

I would just go full budgie seed and use the oats and other seeds as treats Smile I wouldn’t use cat/dog food.

There’s a GA calculator in this post; you’re going to want to shoot for 12-14% protein, 5% fat, and 7-10% fiber:
