RIP Jimmy

One of our four cats, Jimmy, had to be put down yesterday. He had been sick for a while, and became extremely so over the 4th of July weekend while the vet was closed. We took him in yesterday, and they told us there was nothing they could do for him besides put him down.
Jimmy was 14 years old, and was a very special kitty. He was not aloof or solitary like many cats. He loved people, and would come seeking attention out from us constantly. He purred like a motor when you pet him. There wasn't a person Jimmy met that he did not like; whenever someone new entered the house, Jimmy would be there to greet them and begging for them to pet him. Cataracts had long rendered him mostly blind, but he rubbed his scent onto everything so he wouldn't bump into things. He was big, fat, and goofy, but we loved him and he loved us all back.
Rest in peace, Jimmy. You will be dearly missed.

He was incredibly awesome. Worst part is that he was put down while I was at work. I didn't get to say my goodbyes :'(

So sorry for your loss Jimmy sounds like the best kind of cat, I wish all cats were as awesome as this. I love cuddly cats. Rest in peace Jimmy.

Jimmy sounds absolutely lovely. At least he went out as peacefully as possible. I hope you and your family are holding up okay. May he rest in peace.

Aw, I'm sorry. Not being able to say goodbye is the worst. Jimmy sounds like he was pretty great...
