Construction paper

Is construction paper safe to give to the mice? Is there a certain kind that's safe and a certain kind that's not? I found a tutorial on how to make colorful bedding from construction paper for hamsters, but mice are different so....

I've used it a lot to wrap boxes or add shreds of color to the bedding. I figure if it's safe for children, it's safe for mice. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I honestly never thought twice about using it.

I shredded construction paper to add to their bedding for years with no ill effects...and it brightened up the tank, too. I remember that one TFM member made a big curtain out of strips of construction paper glued to a wooden dowel, sort of similar to the cloth strip curtain in a drive-thru car wash. She hung it across the width of the tank, using paper clips to dangle it from the screen, and her mice loved dashing through it and shredding it!

I've done the construction paper hanging thing. They liked to chew pieces down to take to the nest too. lol
Is the bedding like Carefresh stuff? I've made it with newspaper and brown lunchbags. I really want to try construction paper but I keep forgetting to buy some.

Nice. You'll have to share the drying time. 
The first time I made it, I rolled ripped up pieces into a ball to dry, but I thought it worked a lot better to shred it and then crumble it. It dried in 12 hours instead of four or five days but it still had the sort of Carefresh feeling to it. lol
