Re: Want more mice, help??
Okay, tysm! I will check out the thread. And my mom said that I have to wait until my birthday anyway, which is in six months. Plenty of time to learn about them. I'm pretty good at sucking up information about any animal.
Re: Want more mice, help??
The mouse I have currently is probably about 2 years now. Do male mice live shorter lifespans than females? And do they get sick more often? I read somewhere that they are prone to tumors...
Thank you Mesa, I'm checking it out right now.

No difference in health or lifespans between male and female mice. All mice are prone to tumors regardless of gender.

Re: Want more mice, help??
I've actually had a male mouse before, he was super sweet. (much sweeter than the females! We didn't even have to go through a taming process.) But he died just a few weeks after we got him. We have no idea what happened, he was perfectly healthy looking..
Re: Want more mice, help??
It happens sometimes. Asymptomatic illnesses, internal tumors. I've gone through the experience as well with one of my two boys. Male mice have a tendency to be tamer than girls, but in my experience, it comes down to the individual, not gender. I've had girls that are way tamer than any of my boys, and many members have experienced the opposite.
