Just setup a bin cage! 20170411
(Why is it upside down? I dont understand... It's right side up on my computer... I'm sorry...)

Had my girls in a Crittertrail since I bought them, did better research after that and discovered that while adorable, Crittertrails are apparently crap. So I went to Walmart yesterday and got a bin and a roll of aluminum window screen and set this up for them! I totally spaced on getting a new wheel and water bottle for them while I was there tho since they were using the ones that attach to the Crittertrail. I will be going to get those today, worry not!

Besides those 2 things, does anyone have any suggestions to make it even better for my girls? Wink

I love the little TP tepee! Haha

Be careful with the window screening. Even the metal ones are really easy for mice to chew through. Try looking at hardware stores for 1/4-1/2 inch metal hardware cloth (chicken wire). This is much more secure.

Lol, tp teepee! I'm totally calling it that now! XD there's a hole in the bottom of the roll so the can go between levels, too!

As for the screening, it's just on the lid for some ventilation. On that bridge they can get their front toes on the lip of where I cut the lid, so I'm thinking I'll seal it up so there's nothing for them to grip. That should stop them from being able to chew it.

Petsmart, in the bird section! I always check in bird and reptiles too for nice things for climbing and hiding. You can even find things mice will love scurrying around in in the fish section sometimes!
