Anyone else get anything cool for Christmas? Or give anything cool for Christmas?

I got my mom a mug that says "I love you like hobbits love second breakfast," and she loved it. And then I followed up with a Keurig machine and I don't think I've ever seen her more excited. Laughing

My husband got me a pair of dangly jasper earrings and a coloring book journal with lots of inspirational quotes. I already have a journal filled with these types of things so it's really neat and thoughtful. Love

Other gifts so far have been an eye mask and sock set, a lavender scented candle with an amethyst stone in the middle, a necklace, and a heated blanket (love!). And a coffee mug filled with Hershey kisses and $10 at the bottom.

We did a white elephant exchange tonight and I ended up with a margarita set. Razz

Love the mug. I pretty much bake a bunch of cookies for my family every year. Mostly for my dad I do my Granny's (his mom) sugar cookies but everyone else always begs for some too. It took me years to finally get them like hers! Even with her exact recipe! She passed away 11 years ago on the 21st.

I got 6 giant bags of Carefresh and 4 bags of Kaytee for Christmas, that's cool, isn't it? Laughing

I can always use bedding! I got some natural Carefresh, some yellow, some pink, and some blue. Very Happy

Lol, my parents are giving a family member a $20 bill for Christmas. I suggested that they put it in the bottom of a giant box and wrap the box up, and they actually did it, LOL! So the family member is expecting something giant, in a giant box, right? Then tomorrow when they open it, it's just going to be a little $20 bill at the bottom of the box Laughing

Oh I can't wait to see their reaction.

It's been a little while since I brought home a new mouse. At least a female one. lol My little Soong turned two a couple months ago and looks really rough and Cora has a tumor that's slowing her down. We needed a pick-me-up! Meet Alex... she's going to make everyone feel young again. Smile

She's so darn cute! Needs a lot of taming, though.

Edit: Also, a stink bug fell out of my curtains or something (they like to hibernate there and I don't have the heart to wash them). The thud was so "loud" that I nearly jumped off the couch. Tiny bug, startling boom. I'm a jumpy person. Laughing

Those are some of my favorites. She's so lovely!

As for what I'm doing today, I'm doing aggressive bunny research and preparation. I gotta speed-remember everything from all the rabbit research I did two years ago so I can snag my shelter boy before someone else adopts him!!! It's a race against time.

I got a 2018 The Walking Dead calendar for a friend at work for Christmas. I put it in a box with some packing material, because I knew if I just wrapped the calendar it would be kinda obvious what it was. Haha

TWD calendars are kind of tradition now, but I don't really watch it anymore. Big decision! lol
